That’s why we now offer home demonstrations of our electric wheelchairs which are available to customers within a set radius of our locations in Farnham, Surrey and Poole, Dorset. This service is designed to give you total confidence before making a purchase in the comfort and safety of your own home.

Why We Introduced Home Demonstrations

Over the years, we’ve spoken to thousands of customers over the phone, helping them confidently choose the right chair. But some people, especially those with limited mobility or without a support network, simply can’t make the trip to our showroom.

So, we developed a fully transparent, fair and effective home demo system, designed for people who already know they want a Lith-Tech chair but just need help finding the right one.

What Makes Our Home Demonstrations Different?

Unlike other mobility companies that send out sales reps blindly, our process is strategic and customer-focused. We don’t send someone out unless:

• You’ve done your research
• You know you want a Lith-Tech chair
• You meet our service area criteria

This avoids wasted time, unnecessary travel, and pressure selling. Instead, we deliver a consultative, educational experience that ensures you get the right chair for your needs.

Who Qualifies for a Home Demonstration?

To keep our service efficient and focused, we’ve introduced a few simple criteria:

• You must be within a 60-mile radius or 1 hour 20-minute drive from our Farnham (GU9 9JE) or Poole locations
• You must be actively looking to purchase a Lith-Tech wheelchair
• You must have done some research into our chairs and our company
• We do not offer home demonstrations in Central London (we may consider parts of South London on a case-by-case basis)

This ensures we only serve genuine, informed customers and allows us to offer the best possible service.

What Does a Home Demo Cost?

Our home demonstrations cost £150, which is taken as a non-refundable deposit upfront. However, when you purchase a chair at the end of the demo, which most customers do, this £150 is fully deducted from the chair price, meaning your demo was effectively free!

What Happens Before the Demo?

Here’s what you can expect before we arrive:

1. Telephone Consultation – A 15-minute call where we assess your mobility, lifestyle, and preferences
2. Chair Recommendation – We identify the best-fit model and accessories
3. Quote & Videos Sent – You’ll receive a follow-up email with a summary, pricing, and videos of your proposed chair
4. Confirmation & Payment – Once you confirm, we’ll send:
   • This home demo video
   • Our terms & conditions form
   • The payment link for the £150 deposit
   • Your booking confirmation

This pre-demo process ensures we both know exactly what to expect and allows us to provide the best possible outcome on the day.

What Happens on Demo Day?

On the day of your home demonstration:

• You’ll receive a call before we set off, confirming our ETA
• Once we arrive, we’ll do a quick mini consultation based on your home layout and personal mobility
• We’ll demonstrate the recommended chair, showing you how to:
  • Fold/unfold it
  • Charge and remove the battery
  • Navigate kerbs, uneven ground and slopes
  • Adjust and customise it safely

This is a hands-on learning session, not a sales pitch.

What If the Chair Isn’t Quite Right?

We work hard to recommend the right chair in advance, but if anything seems off: seating, comfort, or handling, we’ll bring a backup option just in case. This way, you can try a second model and compare.

By the end of the demo, we’ll finalise the order together, apply the £150 deposit toward your purchase, and bring in a brand-new, boxed chair from our van. Our engineer will:

• Set it up
• Adjust it to fit you
• Program speed, torque, braking, and handling to your preferences

You’ll then sign off the paperwork, and we’ll leave you with your perfect chair, ready to use immediately.

Areas We Serve: Farnham, Poole and Surrounding Areas

We offer home demonstrations in:

• Farnham, Surrey – and all areas within 60 miles or 1h 20m drive
• Poole, Dorset – and surrounding towns and rural areas within range

We do not travel into Central London due to traffic, logistics, and cost. However, South London may be available on a case-by-case basis. If you’re unsure, just ask.
